We don't serve a menu.
We serve a night.
Aurelia has no à la carte, no substitutions and no second sitting for the same guest in the same month. There is one room, one kitchen open to it, and twelve people who agreed to be surprised for three hours.
The cooking is Indian in memory and technical in execution — Konkan coastline, Deccan spice boxes, a Nordic patience with fire and time. Everything you eat was decided after 6 a.m. that morning.
Eighteen years.
Four kitchens.
One obsession.
Ira Menon cooked through Copenhagen and Bengaluru before taking the twelve seats on Waterfield Road in 2019. They cook every service themselves — there is no chef de cuisine at Aurelia, because there is no night Ira is not here.
One counter, two alcoves, and a cellar you may walk into.
Aurelia seats twelve at the pass and eight more across two private alcoves. The whole room can be taken privately on Mondays.
