Restaurant profile
Tax & charges
Indian restaurants are usually 5% GST without input credit. 18% applies inside hotels
with room tariff above ₹7,500. Whatever you set here is frozen onto each order the moment
it opens — changing it never re-prices a bill that is already running.
A4 GST tax invoice
Tax invoices run on their own consecutive series, separate from counter bill
numbers. Place of supply is your state and never the customer's: restaurant service is
taxed where it is served, so the invoice is always CGST + SGST even for an out-of-state
company. Note that a customer normally cannot claim input credit on food and
beverage — they still need the invoice for their own records.
Manager approval
Voids and discounts are where a till leaks. Set a PIN and those two actions need approval, with the approver's name recorded on the bill. Leave the PIN blank and the control stays off — individual staff can also be given their own PIN under Staff.
Service & floor
A table open longer than this is flagged amber on the floor, and 1.5× flags red.
An issued bill number is retired forever — deleting a bill leaves a permanent gap, on purpose.

Danger zone
Load a sample restaurant — 3 areas, 14 tables, a 40-dish menu with recipes, and stock — so you can try the floor before entering your own. Sample records are tagged and can be removed in one click without touching anything you created.
